Snapline
The Snapline tool helps you precisely align objects, walls, and furniture in your project. It allows elements to automatically align to other objects or guides, which speeds up your workflow and keeps your layout neat.
Snapline work in both 2D and 3D modes.
How to enable or disable Snapline
You can toggle snap mode in two ways:
- Click the «Snapline» button on the top toolbar.
- Use the U keyboard shortcut.

How the Snapline tool works
When Snap mode is enabled, elements in the scene automatically «stick» to other objects, guides, or walls. Behavior varies depending on the context:
Object snapping
When two objects (or groups of objects) are moved close to each other, they automatically align by edges and snap together.

Furniture orientation relative to walls
If a furniture item has a defined back side (e.g., a cabinet or chest of drawers), it automatically turns its back toward the wall when moved close to it.

Drawing walls with snapping
While drawing walls, snap mode helps with alignment:
- The cursor automatically snapline to horizontal and vertical guides.
- This makes it easier to draw perfectly straight horizontal or vertical walls.

Snap at 45° angle
Holding the Shift key while drawing a wall activates snapping at a 45° angle. This is useful for creating diagonal elements.

Temporarily disabling snapping
If you want to temporarily disable snapping while moving objects or drawing walls, hold down the Ctrl key (on Mac: cmd ⌘). Snapping will be turned off as long as the key is held.

Snap lines
When the cursor snapline to a point, the program automatically draws a snap line to that point. If it snapline to a centerline between two points, the line is drawn between them and both points are labeled.
