Operating modes
Working with Camera Modes and Settings in Planoplan
In Planoplan, there are three main work modes, and the controls for switching between them are located on the right side of the screen: 2D, 3D, and Walk. Here, you can also find tools to adjust the camera position.
2D Mode
The 2D mode is intended for designing layouts and placing objects such as walls, windows, doors, and openings. In this mode, you can also:
- work with substrate and freeform shapes;
- add symbols;
- configure and export floor plans;
- manage floors;
- add furniture to the plan.

3D Mode
The 3D mode is used for visualizing interiors and adjusting materials. Here, you can place furniture and create renders. When you first switch to 3D mode, the camera is automatically positioned at the center of the project from above. On subsequent transitions, the camera returns to the last saved position.
Functions in 3D mode:
- adjust natural lighting;
- work with panoramas (views from the window);
- surface design;
- create wall, floor, and ceiling elevations;
- create and configure renders, 360 panoramas.

Walk Mode
The Walk mode allows you to virtually walk through the space and select the exact camera position for rendering. To switch to Walk mode, click the button with the human icon:
If you click the button, the walk will start from the current camera position.
You can also drag the human icon to any location on the plan where you want to start the walk.
The functions of the Walk mode are similar to those in 3D mode. The difference is that the camera height above the floor is displayed instead of the «To room center» button.

Camera Control
«To room center» Button
The «To room center» button is used to quickly center the camera:
- If an object or group of objects is selected on the plan, the camera will center on them.
- If nothing is selected, the camera will center on the entire project.

Zoom In and Zoom Out
Use the «Zoom In» and «Zoom Out» buttons to change the scale of the project display.
Scale and Camera Height Slider
The slider adjusts:
- In 2D and 3D modes — the display scale.
- In Walk mode — the camera height above the floor of the current floor.
