Team Account in Planoplan

A team account in Planoplan allows multiple users to work together on projects, manage access rights, and use a shared catalog of projects and resources. This setup is ideal for design studios, architectural teams, and any group collaborating on projects.

This article explains the basic principles of working in a team account: licenses, user roles, access to projects and folders, and how renders and tokens work.

Network licenses in a team account

Team accounts use network licenses.

One network license allows one team member to work on projects at a given time.
If several team members work simultaneously, the number of network licenses must match the number of active users.

The total number of team members may be greater than the number of purchased network licenses. Users can work in turns, depending on license availability.

Team roles

There are three roles in a team account, each defining a different access level.

Team owner

The team owner is the user on whom the team account is created. The owner of a team account cannot be changed.

The team owner has full access rights:

  • creates folders and manages access permissions;
  • edits any projects;
  • invites users, assigns administrators;
  • blocks and removes team members;
  • views the list of team members and render usage statistics;
  • manages the team profile.

Team administrator

A team administrator has the same rights as the team owner, with one limitation — they cannot block or remove the team owner.

Team member

A team member has limited rights:

  • cannot create or edit folders;
  • can create and edit projects in the root directory;
  • can edit projects only in folders where editing rights are granted;
  • can only view projects in folders without editing permissions.

If a team member makes changes to a project in a folder without editing rights, those changes will not be saved.

Tokens and renders

Token packages for a team account are purchased by requesting an invoice and completing the payment. Tokens are added to the team balance only after the payment is processed.

If the team balance runs out of tokens, the render creation button becomes inactive, and renders cannot be started until the balance is replenished.

Projects, folders, and access rights

All projects on the “Projects” tab are available for editing by all team members by default.
Access rights can be configured for individual folders.

The team owner and administrators have unlimited access to all folders and projects.

If a user without editing rights opens a project and makes changes, those changes will not be saved.

Notes and statuses

You can add a note or select one of the predefined statuses for any project or folder. Notes and statuses are visible to all team members and help track the project workflow.

Shared team catalog

A shared catalog is created in the team account and is accessible to all team members.

In this catalog, you can:

  • create folders with unlimited nesting;
  • move projects and objects between folders using drag and drop;
  • create new objects by uploading them into the app.
