A specification is a table that contains information about the objects and materials used in a project. It helps organize data and prepare the project for handoff to a client or construction team.

The specification is created in 2D mode based on the selected objects, group contents, or rooms. It can be exported to the project gallery for further use.

Where to find it

  1. Switch to 2D mode.
  2. Select the required objects, group, or room.
  3. The Settings window will open on the right.
  4. Click the "Create Specification" button.

What the specification looks like

The specification is a table with five columns:

  1. Preview — Image of the object, or the color/texture of the material.
  2. Name — Name of the object or material from the catalog.
  3. Quantity — Number of items: in units (objects), sq. m (materials), or linear meters (moldings).
  4. Price — Entered manually. Lets you add a cost for each item.
  5. Comment — Entered manually. Useful for additional notes or clarifications.

What is included in the specification

When generating a specification for a room, you can choose one of three data types:

  1. Objects

Includes all objects and groups in the room, excluding:

  • windows;
  • doors;
  • adjustable ceiling moldings.
  1. Materials

Includes materials used in the room, such as:

  • flooring;
  • tiles;
  • wallpaper;
  • paint.

If the paint color is selected from the RAL, NCS or Tikkurila catalog, the color number will be displayed in the specification.

  1. Objects and materials

Creates a combined table of all objects and finishing materials in the room.

Tips for working with specifications

  • You can fill in the "Price" and "Comment" columns manually — useful for budgeting or adding detailed descriptions.
  • The specification is generated separately for each room, object, or group — this helps you manage the project content more precisely.
  • The specification reflects the current state of the project and is not automatically synchronized when changes are made — if you make edits, generate it again.
