Adding users to a team
A team account in Planoplan allows multiple users to work together on projects: create layouts, edit scenes, and share access to resources. New users can be added to a team by the team owner or a team administrator.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to add a user to a team and what actions the invited user needs to take depending on whether they already have a Planoplan account.
How to add a user to a team
- Open the account dashboard in the Planoplan app.
- Go to the “Users” tab.
- Click the “Add user” button.
- Enter the email address of the user you want to invite.
- Click “Add”.

Accepting the invitation
After the user is added, an invitation email with the team name will be sent to the specified email address.
- Open the email from Planoplan.
- Click the “Join team” button.
The user will then be redirected to a confirmation page indicating that they have successfully joined the team.

If the user is already registered in Planoplan
If the user already has a Planoplan account, no additional registration is required.
- Launch the app.
- Click the user name at the top of the interface.
- Select the team you were invited to from the list.
After switching teams, the user can immediately start working on projects.

If the user is not yet registered
If the user has not previously registered in Planoplan, they will receive an additional email with a password after accepting the invitation.
To sign in:
- login — the email address that received the invitation;
- password — provided in the email from Planoplan.
Next, install the desktop app.
- Go to the download page: https://planoplan.com/en/download/
- Download the version of the app that matches your operating system.
For macOS, two versions are available:
- for Intel processors;
- for Apple Silicon processors.
After downloading the installer, install the app on your computer and sign in using your credentials.
