The Detail Revolution
How Release 4.0.0 Supercharges Visualization in Planoplan

The December update for Planoplan is all about visualization: complex materials, SuperHD, and improved render quality. All so you can create stunning, photorealistic images of future spaces for your projects. Here are the key innovations coming to Planoplan next week.

Complex Materials for the "Expert" Plan
For three months (September through November), our closed focus group of active PRO+ plan users tested a library of complex materials in their projects. They provided feedback, shared results, and now we're ready to make this feature available to all users on the "Expert" plan.
Complex materials aren't just textures. They're fully prepared sets of parameters that convey subtle effects: deep reflections, natural sheen, and micro-surface relief. Light comes to life on these materials, making interiors maximally authentic and realistic.

With the release of 4.0.0, users will gain access to over 120 such materials, with the library growing over time:
- A parquet collection with detailed wood grain texture, realistic varnish, and volumetric relief for each plank.
- A realistic stone material for fireplaces or accent walls.
- A variety of tiles and mosaics in different shapes and colors.
- Decorative plaster with a depth effect.
This is a major step for users who prioritize detail and realism.

Color for Tulle
We're implementing one of the most frequent requests. The "Tulle" material can now be recolored to any color in the Planoplan palette. No more compromises on shade.

New Resolution Lineup: More Clarity, Smarter Resource Use
We're introducing a progressive render quality system.
Instead of HD — SuperHD (SHD)
- Before: 1280×720.
- Now: 1440×810.
Enhanced algorithms for QHD Pro and 4K Pro ("Expert" plan)
New algorithms specifically improve the rendering of complex optical effects.
The result in renders:
- "Fuzziness" in mirror and glass reflections disappears.
- Glass objects (vases, chandeliers) retain their shape and relief, highlights become cleaner.
- Minimal noise on glossy surfaces.
- Maximum texture detail on all planes.

What Does This Change for You?
- Finalizing projects with quality rivaling professional render engines.
- Clear and accurate presentation of materials and lighting at all stages.
- Reduced need for post-processing visualizations in external editors and software.
The Next Step: Full Control Over Resources
All these improvements are part of a larger effort to advance visualization. And to give you flexible control over your resources, the same December release will introduce a new system: Tokens.
Tokens are a universal unit for paying for resource-intensive cloud tasks (renders, panoramas). They will replace the old packages, giving you more control and freedom: now you pay only for the computing power you actually use. It's more economical and precise.
A detailed breakdown of how Tokens work and how to use them with maximum benefit is coming in the next article on our blog!
