The sharing (publishing) feature allows you to share items from your user catalog with other Planoplan users.

Available only with the Expert pricing plan.

How to Publish a Model or Texture

  1. Open the card of the desired lot (model or texture) in your user catalog.
  2. Click «Publish».
  3. The lot will be sent for moderation, indicated by the «Pre-moderation» status.

After approval, the lot will appear in the public catalog.
The lot card will display a «Unpublish» button, allowing you to remove it from publication.

Publication Notifications

Once moderation is successful:

  • You will receive a notification that the lot has been published.
  • A «Globe» icon will appear on the lot's preview.

Editing Published Lots

Any changes made to a published lot will automatically unpublish it.
To republish it, click «Publish» again and pass moderation.

If a Lot Fails Moderation

  • The lot will receive the «Rejected» status.
  • You will get a notification with the reason for rejection.

To resend the lot:

  1. Make the necessary changes to fix the rejection reason.
  2. Click «Publish» again.

If the reason is unclear, contact support and provide the lot ID.

Model and Texture Requirements

To ensure that your model or texture passes moderation and is useful to other users, we recommend following the requirements below.

Lot Name

The lot name should clearly and accurately describe the object or material.

We recommend that you:

  • use clear and descriptive names;
  • include the manufacturer, collection, model, color, or material whenever possible;
  • use keywords that make the item easy to find through search.

Avoid:

  • generic names such as "Model 1", "New Object", or "test";
  • including file extensions (.jpg, .png, .fbx) or technical notes (copy, final, !, etc.) in the name.

General Requirements

Before submitting your content for moderation, make sure that:

  • the model dimensions match the real object;
  • the texture scale is set correctly;
  • the object is displayed correctly in the project;
  • the model geometry is free of errors;
  • the content does not contain prohibited material.

The following content is automatically rejected:

  • pornographic content;
  • extremist symbols or materials;
  • corrupted models (broken geometry, flipped faces, or detached elements);
  • solid-color textures that can be replaced with the built-in color palettes.

Texture Requirements

A texture should:

  • be seamless, without visible tiling or seams;
  • have sufficient resolution for comfortable use in projects;
  • remain sharp when viewed up close;
  • use material properties (matte, semi-gloss, glossy, etc.) that accurately represent the real material.

Model Requirements

For models, we recommend that you:

  • use an optimized polygon count without unnecessary detail;
  • organize the model into logical material groups (for example: frame, doors, cushions, etc.);
  • use no more than 10 materials whenever possible to simplify editing;
  • check the UV mapping to ensure there are no noticeable distortions;
  • orient the model correctly (standing on its base and facing forward);
  • remove invisible geometry and unnecessary elements.

Recommendations Before Publishing

Before submitting your lot for moderation, check the following:

  • The lot name is clear and descriptive.
  • The dimensions match the real object.
  • Textures are displayed correctly and are seamless.
  • The model geometry is free of errors.
  • The UV mapping has been checked.
  • Unnecessary materials and invisible geometry have been removed.

Changing the Pricing Plan

  • If you switch to a plan without the publishing feature, all previously published lots will be unpublished.
  • An exclamation mark icon will appear on such lot cards.

When you return to a plan with the publishing feature:

  • All previously shared lots will be automatically republished.

Where to Find Published Lots

  • Shared lots are located in a separate tab below the brand catalogs.
  • Your published lots will always display the «Globe» icon.
